Teen and High School Online Nutrition Lesson Plans: Nutrition Education, Healthy Eating, Activity

Empower adolescents and teens to make better food choices and improve their health with this five-lesson online nutrition program. Key concepts covered in the Eat Move Win program include: what is a healthy weight/BMI, the importance of eating breakfast and getting enough sleep, what macronutrients and micronutrients we need to function best, and how to set SMART goals.

This video explains the benefits of eating a breakfast that is made up of three specific food groups from the five food groups, so you can have hours of energy for learning and physical activity (Lesson 4). Research shows that students who eat breakfast perform better on standardized tests, have more energy for learning and physical activity, eat more nutritious diets in general and snack less late at night.
