Ratios of gut bacteria influence weightloss
Professors of the Department of Nutrition, Exercise and Sports at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark found that certain bacteria in our gut play a role in weight regulation and weight loss. A proportion of a bacterium, known as Prevotella, that was higher than the bacterium Bacteroides, was known to contribute to weight loss. . In addition, lower proportions of prevotella bacteria in the gut were linked with no weight loss.
